Welcome to the
Eaton High Power Test Labs Home Page
The Eaton Electrical High
Power Test Labs offer a wide range of testing capabilities
for engineering, development, and certification purposes for
electrical distribution equipment. The labs perform a wide range
of electrical tests including current interruption tests (in
the low and medium voltage ranges), overload electrical and
mechanical endurance, high current withstands, temperature rise,
thermal calibration, and magnetic calibration tests. Tests are
usually conducted per industry standards (UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE) or
customer supplied standards. Typical test samples include:
molded case circuit breakers, power circuit breakers, vacuum
circuit breakers, contactors, low and medium voltage switchgear,
bus duct, transformers, fuses, etc. We have three test
facilities to choose from.
Belmont High Power Lab, located in Belmont, North
Carolina is a high power testing facility for the use of
Eaton Electrical and outside clients. The Belmont Lab is
accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by the American Association
for Laboratory Accreditation.
Beaver High Power Lab, located in Beaver, Pennsylvania is a
high power testing facility for the use of Eaton Electrical
and outside clients. The Beaver Lab is an ISO-9001
